WHO ARE WE?
Common Ground was established in 2009 by members of the Good Food Society at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London. Common Ground was set up to improve the local environment by creating a community garden, increase the productive growing area of an otherwise derelict land, harvest rainwater and encourage food growing and biodiversity in an urban setting. Ever since Common Ground has grown and developed into an interactive space of sharing skills around gardening and promoting sustainable food, as well as related ideas of self-sufficiency. It’s a place to have fun building community and creating a green and beautiful space right in the belly of the city!
